World-renowned swing guitarist Jonathan Stout presents a birthday tribute to the first great electric jazz guitarist, Charlie Christian, known for his playing with the Benny Goodman Sextet 1939-1941. Jonathan will lead an all-star band playing Charlie’s repertoire using the original BG Sextet arrangements and instrumentation, and telling the story of Charlie’s short but extraordinarily impactful life between the tunes.
