My Buddy: The Other Side of Oz
ft. Kiki Ebsen

"My Buddy: The Other Side of Oz” is a heartfelt cabaret-style jazz show featuring singer, pianist and storyteller Kiki Ebsen.
“If you enjoy witty storytelling, celebrity insider nostalgia, and exquisite musical arrangements, then Kiki Ebsen’s My Buddy: The Other Side of Oz was custom-made for you.” ~ Cabaret Scenes

Buddy Ebsen’s career spanned seven decades. Kiki, Buddy’s sixth daughter, offers a unique perspective on growing up in a show business family. Having been fifty years old when Kiki was born, Buddy had musical aspirations for her that vastly differed from the path she ultimately chose for herself. This created tension that distanced them early on in her career as she sought her own voice. However, their eventual reconnection is both inspiring and heartwarming.

Throughout this journey, you’ll hear key stories about Buddy's ups and downs in the entertainment industry, including his account of what happened to him while filming "The Wizard of Oz."

The show is backed by seasoned jazz musicians and features standards from the Great American Songbook. Originally recorded on her critically acclaimed CD, "Scarecrow Sessions," which was released on Father's Day in 2014, each song highlights a different aspect of her father's life and career, both on stage and on screen. The experience is further enhanced by family photographs and nostalgic video clips.

"My Buddy: The Other Side of Oz" takes a historical and personal look back at an American icon who brought smiles to many before he became a household name on "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Barnaby Jones." This show is family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
