Ozzie Mancinelli has brought together a who’s who of local talent for what promises to be an exceptional evening of original music:
Joshua Taylor (Featuring Sandi King)
Genre-defying artist Joshua Taylor, acclaimed for his soulful blend of pop-rock and R&B, clinched two San Diego Music Awards in 2023. His triumphs include Best Pop Album for Unscene and Best Rock or Indie/Alternative Song for “Cars Don’t Run Forever”. The album boasts production by the renowned Jeff Berkley, a talent behind acts like Jason Mraz and Jewel.
Originally from the Midwest and a former Navy serviceman, Taylor has carved out a new identity as a heartfelt storyteller. His music, rich in lyrical depth, sits at the crossroads of pop-rock, R&B, and fusion genres.
Together with his wife, vocalist Sandi King, Taylor forms a dynamic duo. They’re known for their harmonious backing vocals, contributing to projects by top San Diego musicians including Jeff Berkley and Jonny Tarr. Their R&B/soul band, King Taylor Project, also garnered nominations for Best R&B, Funk or Soul Song and Song of the Year at the 2023 SDMA for their track “Devil in the White City”.
Taylor’s musical journey includes opening for the Grammy Award-winning Tedeschi Trucks Band with rock band Ponderosa Grove, and performing alongside artists like Dawes and Lucinda Williams at various festivals.
Hailing from Iowa, Alex Bergan embarked on his musical journey at 15, exploring various sounds to find his true voice. His authentic blend of folk, Americana, and country has led him to share stages with legends like Kenny Loggins and Nathaniel Rateliff. After signing a publishing deal in 2022, Bergan has broadened his songwriting, lending his voice to a diverse array of genres for different artists. His unique sound invites listeners to lean in and experience more.

Justin John Rodriguez
Justin John Rodriguez, a songwriter with a rich tapestry of life experiences, crafts songs about life’s intricacies, from love and regret to redemption. Merging country, folk, and Americana, his music has resonated on stages alongside artists like Todd Day Wait and Whiskey Myers. Rodriguez’s storytelling navigates the light and dark of life with a distinctive voice.

New York’s own Josh Weinstein, a versatile talent in songwriting, production, and keyboard performance, has left a mark on the music scene. His 2009 album Love & Alcohol gained international airplay and MTV licensing, following his critically acclaimed Brooklyn Is Sinking. In 2023, Weinstein released Mind the Gap, a 24-song album highlighted by the single “Shimmer”. An active performer, Weinstein graces stages worldwide and maintains a busy schedule, appearing on numerous albums and videos across genres.
